Game Truck Party

When it comes to doing Luxe things kids are not exempt. Serious Bok love the kids! I have done my part spreading the word of quality lifestyle entertainment to the modern & hip ladies and gentlemen. Now I will delve into a a new arena. Family. Recently my heir celebrated his 9th Birthday. I am sure many of you with families know it gets harder & harder to top whatever it was you did last year. Always on the lookout for that fun & exciting new thing to do. This year I requested the services of The Game Truck.

The Game Truck is a mobile video game party trailer that can be rented by the hour. This unit pulls up in front of your residence ready to rock with every current game unit available in the trailer. Xbox360, PS3, Wii and Kinect. Sorry old heads no Atari. Up to 20 kids can sit comfortably in the heated and air condotioned unit with leather sofa. Up to 16 can play at a time on the 4 large flatscreens. No food or drinks are allowed inside but who has time to eat when Halo is on 4 Tv’s at the same time!

The sides pop open!

This was a great idea. I got this baby for 3 hours I wish I had it for 3 more. Adults are welcome inside to and sit comfortably as long as your not sitting on some kid. Play Call of Duty Black Ops, MW3, Just Dance, Madden 2012, NBA Live,etc,.. The driver/Game attendant was cool, patient & courteous. He set everybody up with games, controllers and never complained about the screaming. The Game Truck is nationwide. I am in New Jersey so I used the Garwood, N.J. rental location. From the phone call to reserve to arrival they were very helpful and courteous.

Leaf Cigar Bar Lounge x Famous Smoke Shop

If I’m going to go out of my way to have a cigar it better be worth my time. I do not seek averageness so my experience should be beyond mediocre. Especially when this lifestyle leads me out of state I expect an event like extraordinary evening.  Recently a few gentlemen & myself headed out of New Jersey to Easton P.A. to visit The Leaf Cigar Bar Lounge & Restaurant and Famous Smoke Shop. This trip was absolutely worth the ride & was just what I needed.

Less than an hour from lets just say Essex/Union County N.J. is a cigar and fine dining oasis. I could get here the same time it would take me to get to a N.Y. Cigar Lounge in traffic. Also minus the tolls & parking I have more money for cigars. I have been to a few establishments where one can enjoy libations, dinner & a premium cigar and they each have their qualities & downfalls. The only downfall here is that The Leaf is not 15 minutes away.

Walk right inside the grand entrance at Leaf Famous Smoke Shop and tour the huge humidor. I was greeted politely by the staff and we all were treated courteously with our cigar purchases. The humidor here is filled with premium smokes like Drew Estate, Davidoff, Padron, Avo, Opus X & plenty more. There are also many bundle packs & discount smokes. Courtesy long wooden matches and complimentary cutter were given, but a full line of accessories are available to purchase.

Take your cigars from Famous and head over to their small smoking lounge area with leather lounge seats & large flat screen on the wall. If you are in the mood for drinks and fine dining take your cigars and walk a few feet to the Leaf Cigar Bar,Lounge & restaurant. A fully stocked bar with top shelf libations and you can enjoy your cigar at the bar.

Make a reservation or walk in to the Leaf restaurant like we did check out the impressive menu. The food is great and not ridiculously priced. I wouldn’t call it bar food either you can expect an upscale experience. Cigar smoking is allowed in the dining area, but the ventilation is excellent. You can still smell the fresh mussels in front of you at a table full of burning maduros.  Nice beer selection of small batch brews & whisky. The crab & shrimp cakes with asparagus is great as well as the mussels. The manager came over just to be sure we were satisfied and enjoying ourselves. Nice personal & welcoming touch. This place is cool for men, women, singles, couples or whom ever whatever looking to have a good time. A cigar can be good, but it is the experience that makes it great. I will be returning.

Good times. LUXE.

Cigar Review by Andrew Passantino: Drew Estate Liga Privada #9 x Undercrown

Hello this is Serious Bok & I have requested that the intricate & versatile cigar smoking micro brew sipping Andrew Passantino bless us with some cigar reviews from an authentic cigar smoker of the people for the people. (run on sentence is ok just this once). Here Mr. Passantino hit us with two reviews or two great cigars. Please welcome & follow him on twitter @TheSicilian33 LUXE.

The Drew Estate Liga Privada #9 is an interesting cigar and by far my favorite. It comes dark in appearance with a white label. The interesting thing about the cigar is the scent. It smells like the perfect cigar, and it is. I would call it more of a boutique cigar. I use a standard double blade cutter that you can get at your average shop. Light it and it has this strong sensation spicy type of taste.

It burns very evenly and doesn’t get too smokey like the Undercrown. It’s a good tasting cigar, but when you get to the middle, you are completely shocked. You have never tasted such a cigar in your life. It’s like your taste buds go on a wild roller coaster specifically Nitro. You think it’s going to be a heavy cigar, but it’s the smoothest smoke I ever had. I usually have about 3-5 of these a day, so I enjoy it alot. The ash is very white and burns perfectly. It’s very hard to get this cigar to finally burn out because it burns so well.

At the end, you know right away that this is your cigar, and you need another one. This would be a perfect cigar on the beach on some paradise island. At the end, it has some what of a nutty taste, but it’s not as heavy and you believe it to me. I’m 21 years old, and my taste buds are constantly changing, but this is by far my favorite cigar. When properly humidified it’s not to hard and crunchy but it’s not too soft either. This is a great cigar to go with beer, liquor, a game of poker, a football game, or basically for an every day smoke. If you haven’t tried this cigar, pick it up it’s a gem!! You’ll impress a few of your buddies also because it’s not exactly easy to find!! Imagine your favorite beer.. but in cigar form.

Here we have the Undercrown also made by Drew Estate. You’re a little curious because you may be wondering if it’s anything like the Liga Privada’s. It’s more of a cousin if anything. You have a lighter appearance than the Liga. It’s an easy cut. As you get ready to light it, you’re thinking how interesting this cigar is. Well, here you go, you’ve finally cut it. It sounds like a perfect cut that you have accomplished which you have.

You start smoking it at first with that heavy tobacco taste. You’re thinking hmm this is a little interesting it’s not like the Liga at all. Because it’s not. It doesn’t have the taste or the spice of the Liga, but it is VERY smokey. If you’re against the smokey part of a cigar, then you shouldn’t smoke this. By smoking this, it’s like you’re in a Godfather scene with the Godfather speaking to his soldiers with the smoke in the background. It doesn’t have the power of the Liga, but it is one heck of a smoke. It’s not as smooth as a T-52 but if you smoke Liga’s you’ll enjoy this cigar.

After a Tatuaje Fausto, I usually smoke an Undercrown because they go well together one after the other. You get a little sweetness, coffee, and nut taste, but this goes away as soon as you get to the middle. The ash is white in appearance and once again it burns perfectly. It’s another cigar that I smoke every day.
